Vincent Pislar: voice

After studying classical singing and Astrophysics, Vincent Pislar specialized in medieval music. He studied gregorian chant and early polyphony at the Paris Medieval Music Centre (with Catherine Sergent, Marie-Noël Colette and Brigitte Lesne). He continued with the interpretation of solo singing (between the 11th and 14th century) at the University of Paris-Sorbonne with Benjamin Bagby and followed up with improvised polyphony, medieval counterpoint and early source reading at the Paris National Conservatory with Raphael Picazos.
He works with various french vocal ensembles, in particular Dialogos (dir. Katarina Livljanic), with whom he recorded two award-winning Cds attributed by the musical press, and Sequentia (dir. Benjamin Bagby) specialized in the interpretation of medieval music. He sings regularly in Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris, with the Gregorian Ensemble of Notre Dame (dir. Sylvain Dieudonné).
Vincent Pislar was also student of the Cochet course (drama).
