Mathias Spoerry: voice

´╗┐Following early studies in oboe, voice and percussion, Mathias Spoerry discovered his passion for early music and pursued studies in Baroque singing (with Julie Hassler) and musicology, later joining the masters program in medieval performance practice directed by Benjamin Bagby and Katarina Livljanic at the University of Paris-Sorbonne where he also participated in the world premiere recording of the 14th-century Sorbonne Mass.
From 2009 onwards, he studied voice and medieval repertoires with Dominique Vellard at the medieval department of the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Basel, Switzerland), and took part in the Advanced Vocal Ensemble Studies directed by Anthony Rooley and Evelyn Tubb.
Mathias Spoerry performs with the ensembles Sequentia, Gilles Binchois, Diabolus in Musica, La Morra, Oiet, Leones, Mora Vocis, Ordo Virtutum, Le Miroir de Musique, Venance Fortunat, Chant 1450 and White Raven.
